Manchester University, Manchester, England. Bachelor of Arts with First-Class Honours in Architecture 1989-92

Thomas has gained a broad experience in the field of architecture and urbanism through a varied practice and teaching. During his studies he worked every summer for the City Architect in Kristiansand and for a year, between Manchester and Harvard, for Kauffmann Theilig & Partner in Stuttgart, Germany. After graduating he was employed at Pei, Cobb, Freed & Partners in New York before joining Niels Torp Architects in Oslo. He navigated the oceans of the world, for a year in 2000, together with four childhood friends and returned to tell the tale.

From 2001 to 2016 he ran his own practice; TBA architects in Oslo. The office took part in large scale competitions, on its own, and in collaboration with others and had a portfolio spanning from small scale furniture, to complex buildings and urban design. He is now pleased to continue the practice of architecture as a member of the NSW team.
