The Orkla City at Skøyen, Oslo encompassing Orkla’s new headquarters for 950 people, new housing, the listed Sofienlund buildings and lush green area is now taking shape.
The stair towers of the 16 storey office headquarters have already reached its ultimate height and all other parts of the building project is well underway. Also the separate housing block with 12 comfortable apartments.
The whole project is being realised with great environmental ambitions; not only meeting the BREEAM NOR-Excellent classification, but also with a solar panel park on the roof.
The Orkla City is located at the heart of Skøyen, right next to the Skøyen railway station making car parking spaces almost superfluous with Skøyen being the third most important transport node in Norway. However, ample parking for 630 bicycles are being provided. The whole project is scheduled for completion early 2019.
