The 18.000m2 building has been planned for NTNU – Norway’s largest university. It features the unusual combination of a major sports facility with health education. It has been planned to attract activities day and night, as an inspirational facility for future campus development. The curvilinear structure will not only attract attention in contrast to its rectilinear surroundings, but also as a ground breaking zero emission facility with virtually zero cost in operation!
The roof area is an integral part of the concept, offering not only teaching rooms with direct access to the multiple sports facilities, but also a running track through lush planting and solar panels.
