This, the first phase in the innovation and incubation centre, links research and business activities at the junction between NTNU and St. Olav’s hospital. The 60 information technology companies are linked to the university and provide a centre for technological development in Trondheim.
By working with the location and design of the building; the resulting orientation and air currents make it suitable for energy saving and environmentally friendly solutions. At the same time the building forms a barrier for noise and pollution.

The two separate wings have built-in flexibility to enable their use for all known forms of office organisation, from open landscape, groups and single cell offices in combination with traditional corridors and offices with or without central cores.
The building is constructed from in-situ white concrete with significant areas of zinc and glass.

NSW have been responsible for the general development plan, architecture, the interior design, landscape and signage both inside and out.
