Jørn Narud

Jørn Narud (1949) is senior partner of Narud Stokke Wiig Sivilarkitekter AS.
He graduated with a degree in architecture at the University of Manchester, England, in 1976, and worked in London until 1977 with Foster Associates (1074-75) and Rock Townsend (1976-77). He was employed at Telje-Torp-Aasen architects of Oslo during 1977-79.

Jørn Narud founded Narud-Stokke-Wiig Sivilarkitekter in 1979, in association with Gudmund Stokke and Ole Wiig, and has since been responsible for accomplishment of significant assignments, competitions and projects, among them; new administration building for Bærum county (1986-90), the Kongsberg Town House (1st prize in architectural competition) 1990-93, faculty of science building at the Norwegian Technical and Natural Science University (NTNU) in Trondheim, (1st prize in architectural competition) 1994-99, the Biological Science building at Haukeland, for the University of Bergen (1st prize in architectural competition) 1955-2002, and Søndre Nordstrand High School, Oslo.

Jørn Narud has in addition to project design broad experience in multi disciplinary project management, and was awarded the national Concrete Award for exceptional concrete building design, in 1991 and 2000. He has at several occasions collaborated with “Utsmykningsfondet” for public buildings in connection with larger building assignments
